MetroPlan Orlando Seeks New Senior Transportation Planner

We’re hiring! MetroPlan Orlando is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Senior Transportation Planner.  This position works within the Department of Transportation Planning.

The position is responsible for preparing and maintaining the Transportation Improvement Program, ensuring alignment with the Metropolitan Transportation Plan and the Prioritized Project List. It involves managing the timely and cost-effective delivery of transportation projects, including roadway, pedestrian, bicycle, transit, and other mobility-related initiatives. The role requires providing professional and technical expertise for transportation projects, coordinating activities with other municipalities and agencies, and representing the MPO on various boards, committees, and task forces.

Additional duties include responding to citizen inquiries, attending public events, and fostering positive relationships with government agencies, transportation operators, and the business community. The position also provides staff support to the MPO Board and its committees, delivers high-quality customer service, and requires travel to regional project sites and partner agencies as needed, along with other assigned responsibilities.
