We’re Seeking New Members for Our Community Advisory Committee; Apply by January 12
Posted on: December 13, 2017 in MetroPlan Orlando Advisory Committees
Are you interested in getting more involved in transportation planning? Here’s your chance – we’re filling three vacancies on our Community Advisory Committee: one multimodal advocate (voting seat) and two non-voting alternates. Non-voting alternates will be full participants in committee discussions and meetings.
The committee provides citizen input to the transportation planning process and strives to reflect the diversity of the Central Florida community, including those who are underserved or disadvantaged. The committee is structured to include representatives from across the transportation spectrum, including bicyclists, pedestrians, drivers, and transit riders (bus and rail). For more information on the Community Advisory Committee, see the bylaws here.
Requirements for Membership
Potential members should meet the following requirements:
• Be interested in various modes of transportation (including, but not limited to, private motor vehicles, bicycling, walking, freight, bus and rail)
• Reside in Orange, Osceola or Seminole counties
• Not work in the transportation industry
• Not currently serve as an elected official
How to Apply
Applying to join the committee is easy. Just fill out this application and tell us why you’re interested in joining.
