Join us online Wednesday, Nov. 15, as we look into the causes of traffic deaths in Central Florida and mark World Remembrance Day for Road Traffic Victims.

Beginning at 9:30 a.m., we will present “Uniting on a Quest for Zero Traffic Deaths,” the first webinar in our Vision Zero Central Florida Safety Speaker Series.

Every week, 5 people die and 35 people are seriously injured in Central Florida crashes. We want those numbers to be zero, and we’re counting on you to help get there. Free registration is available here.

What You’ll Learn

In this hour-long session, MetroPlan Orlando staff members who serve as Vision Zero Central Florida project managers will discuss the Vision Zero approach to eliminating traffic deaths and serious injuries. We will have time set aside to answer your questions and hear your concerns. You’ll also find out more about:
• World Remembrance Day and how to honor these tragic losses
• How to share your personal story connected to traffic crashes and motivate others to travel safely
• How Vision Zero differs from past safety campaigns
• How traffic deaths and injuries CAN be prevented
• How local governments are getting involved in Central Florida.

Panelists are: Lara Bouck, PE, AICP; Adriana Rodriguez, PE; and Mighk Wilson. The discussion will be moderated by Cynthia Lambert, APR, MetroPlan Orlando’s Public Information Manager.
