FDOT District 5 Sets Online Public Hearing for Dec. 10-14

The Florida Dept. of Transportation, District 5, will hold a week-long Online Public Hearing for its new work program beginning Monday, Dec. 10, and ending Friday, December 14. There are three ways to participate in the hearing:

• A video about the tentative five year work program for fiscal years 2020-2024 will be posted for viewing at www.d5wpph.com. You can review the programs and maps, submit comments and find information about how to contact a representative of the department with questions. The Online Public Hearing will be open and available continuously during the week.
• FDOT representatives will be available at the District Office in DeLand on Tuesday, Dec. 11, from 4-7 p.m. in the Cypress A & B conference rooms to meet with the public, answer questions, and assist with website access.
• FDOT representatives will also be available with materials for review during the hearing week at the District 5 office.

The Tentative Five-Year Work Program provides proposed improvements for Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, as well as the nine counties that comprise District Five: Brevard, Flagler, Lake, Marion, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Sumter, and Volusia.

Several options for providing comments will be available during the online hearing. Written comments will also be accepted by FDOT for a period of 10 days after the proceedings, ending Dec. 24, 2018.
