The Florida Department of Transportation District 5 will be hosting a week-long annual work program public hearing online, the week of Oct. 9 with an in-person hearing on Oct. 10, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the District 5 office, 719 South Woodland Blvd., Deland, FL 32720.
FDOT representatives will be at the Oct. 10 hearing to discuss the FDOT Five-Year Work Program, answer questions and assist with internet access.
The work program materials will be available online from Oct. 9-13. You can view them by going to www.D5wpph.com, where you can see all the presentations and maps, submit comments, ask questions, and directly contact a department representative if needed.
If you do not have access to a computer or the internet, please contact Jamie Kersey at 386-943-5338 to request a comment form and/or to set up a meeting with department staff.
The five-year work program is an ongoing process used to forecast the funds needed for transportation system improvements scheduled for the next five years. Public involvement is a critical element of the district’s five-year work program development process. Whether you drive, walk, ride a bicycle, fly on a plane, or use mass transit, the work program will impact you in some way.
