The MetroPlan Orlando Board has approved a new Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP), which assigns funding to specific projects and sets the schedule for improving the region’s transportation system during the next five years.
A public hearing was held on the five-year plan, on June 22, and board approval followed on July 8. The plan includes transportation projects in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties.
The TIP includes all the federal and state funded highway, bicycle and pedestrian, transit, transportation disadvantaged, and aviation projects that are scheduled for implementation over the next five years. Some locally funded projects are also included for information purposes.
