July Board and MAC Meetings Rescheduled to June

The July 8th MetroPlan Orlando Board meeting has been rescheduled to June 29 at 9 a.m., and the July 2nd Municipal Advisory Committee (MAC) meeting has been rescheduled to June 25 at 8:30 a.m. Both will be held as virtual meetings.
Information on how the public can join these meetings can be found on MetroPlan Orlando’s virtual meetings page here.
MetroPlan Orlando has adjusted these meeting dates to allow these meetings to take place virtually, in accordance with Florida’s Sunshine Law and current Executive Orders issued by the office of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
Florida’s Sunshine Law typically requires a quorum to be physically present in a room for a government meeting to take place. On March 20, Governor DeSantis issued Executive Order 20-69 suspending this requirement and allowing government boards to conduct business using virtual meetings. On June 3, the Governor issued Executive Order 20-139, which extended Executive Order 20-69 through June 30.
MetroPlan Orlando is developing a plan for transitioning back to in-person meetings that can safely assure proper physical distancing. More information will be posted as the plan is finalized.
