MetroPlan Orlando Board to Vote on Amendments to 2 Plans

UPDATE: The MetroPlan Orlando Board approved these amendments and modifications at the Dec. 11 meeting.
The MetroPlan Orlando Board will vote at its Dec. 11 meeting on amendments and modifications to the 2040 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) and to the Project Priority List (PPL). Public comments on these changes are welcome.
People who want to make public comments can speak at the Dec. 11 MetroPlan Orlando Board meeting, which will be at 9 a.m., at the MetroPlan Orlando office. Written comments also can be submitted at the board meeting. Comments also may be sent by email to MTP@MetroPlanOrlando.gov or by mail to: Alex Trauger, MetroPlan Orlando, 250 S. Orange Ave., Suite 200, Orlando, FL 32801. Mailed or emailed comments should be received by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2019.
The amendments and modifications to the 2040 LRTP involve three tables in Technical Report 3: Plan Development & Cost Feasible Projects of the adopted 2040 LRTP. They are:
- Table 8 – Federal/State Funded Projects: Add Maitland Blvd. at Maitland Ave. Urban Interchange project.
- Table 9 – Locally Funded Projects: Several projects funded locally for both Orange County and City of Orlando are added to the Cost Feasible Plan.
- Table 12 – Toll Funded Projects: Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise (FTE) and the Central Florida Expressway (CFX) have several projects funded with Toll Revenues that need to be added to the Cost Feasible Plan.

The amendments to the 2025-2040 Prioritized Project List include one project amended to the 2040 Long Range Transportation Plan, and a project previously on the PPL that is funded, but needs to be on the current PPL for consistency.
